Dr Emma Edwards receives Gold Award for Teaching from Department of Engineering Science

Congratulations to Career Development Fellow Dr Emma Edwards, who has been awarded a Gold Award for Teaching by Oxford's Department of Engineering Science. Awards were based on nominations from students and faculty and decided by a committee of students and academics. Dr Edwards’s award was given in recognition of her outstanding tutorials and pastoral care of students. The Department gives only three teaching awards at this level, and selections are made from more than 140 eligible faculty in the department. The award goes to Dr Edwards in her first year of teaching at Oxford. Beyond her teaching in College, Dr Edwards teaches at the Wind and Marine Energy Systems and Structures Centre for Doctoral Training (WAMSS CDT) and has a growing research group studying the hydrodynamics of floating wind turbines.
