The Boat Race 2025: Five St Peter’s students and alumni represent University of Oxford

Four St Peter’s students and one College alumnus have been selected to represent the University of Oxford in the 2025 Boat Races.

Amelia Mills (MSc Biodiversity, Conservation and Management, 2024) in the bow seat and Milly Troup (Modern Languages, 2021) in seat four join coxswain Joe Gellet (Medicine, 2023) in the Oxford Women’s Reserve Boat (Osiris). Joe is no stranger to the Boat Race, having been selected for OUWBC crews in 2021 and 2022 during his undergraduate days at St Anne’s, and in 2024 as a first-year postgraduate student at St Peter’s College.

Men’s Reserve Boat Race: Tara

St Peter's Boat Race veteran Tara Slade (Medicine, 2021) is returning for another year.

Postgraduate medical student Tara Slade (Medicine, 2021), who coxed the Oxford Women’s Blue Boat in 2023, was selected to cox the Oxford Women’s Reserve Boat (Osiris) in 2024 and this year will cox the Oxford Men’s Reserve Boat (Isis).

Men’s Lightweight Boat Race: Simon Van Teutem

On Saturday 12 April, look out for a St Peter's College alumnus in the Men's Lightweight Race.

Alumnus Simon Van Teutem (MPhil Politics, 2021), now pursuing a DPhil in Politics at Nuffield College, Oxford, will row in seat four for the Men’s Lightweight crew, racing on Saturday 12 April 2025.
